AM and Shortwave Radio Receivers Around the World
This is an experimental page allowing you to listen to radio receivers that you can tune between 10KHZ and 30MHZ including AM, USB, LSB, CW and more. Radios allow between 4 and 40 simultaneous listeners so not all will be available at any one time. We chose radios with better reception that are near major metropolitan areas. When finshed listening to a receiver, press control plus f4 to return to this page. Radios may be muted by default so down arrow twelve times below the frequency edit box to the mute button and press spacebar to hear what the radio is tuned to. We tuned the radios to a specific local AM station as a starting point. Press spacebar on the AM button or press the letter “A” if audio is muffled. Use the edit box to enter another frequency. You can tune the radios up and down by 10K or 9k increments. If it says 9, press space to toggle it to 10, and again to go back to 9K. Below are the tuning buttons. The first ones tune down, and the last ones on the line tune up. So press home to put your cursor on the minus 10k button and press spacebar to tune down -10k at a time, or press end to put your cursor on the plus 10k button to tune up 10k at a time. Allow about two seconds to hear the radio change. Tune up or down in smaller steps by pressing spacebar on the appropriate buttons. You can also copy the current frequency and mode to your clipboard for saving to a text file.
